Self-sufficient Energy-generating Unit for Fire Fighters

Emergency care teams’s speed of intervention in the event of an earth-quake is always closely linked with the time needed to bring electric power feed to the disaster site. Pomer is a means to save a lot of this precious time. This self-sufficient energy-generating unit is fed by a hydrogen fuel cell. The source of energy is contained within lightweight and compact bottles that can easily be carried around in a backpack. These bottles ensure firemen that no power shutdown will occur while recharging the unit. Pomer is especially fit for post-earthquake rescue operations : thanks to two ajustable handles and a set of fastening straps the device is easily transportable on all kinds of rugged soils. The device can also be dragged by a motor vehicle. It is equipped with a lamp and power plugs, two components that ensure minimum assembling time. When operated Pomer only produces subdued noise. Thanks to this quiet emergency care unit solution, fire fighters spend less energy assembling the material and run less risks to be wounded during transportation.
