Because "sustainable" should not be synonymous with “not enjoyable,” Dalsouple, a British rubber flooring manufacturer, founded "Transform the Future," a contest meant to spur professional designers and students to spread the gospel of “green design” by coming up with innovative projects.

During the previous editions spatial design and interior architecture were in the limelight. This year Transform the Future 3 brings product design to the fore by dedicating a new category to this discipline.

The specificity of the contest is that all participants are required to use Dalnaturel – a type of natural rubber developed by Dalsouple – in their projects.

Thanks to his project “Pullover,” a protective casing for trees in public spaces Nicolas Hubert – 5th year student enrolled in the Master’s Program Cross-cultural Design in Qingdao – was awarded the "Special Student Prize," which earned him a work placement within the design agency Graven Images.
